The We Want Green Too Fundraiser — powered by OMG Music

Stand with the Veterans who stood for us.

We turn donations into safe, energy-efficient homes and green-energy careers for the Veterans who served us — right here on Detroit's East Side. Every dollar stays in the city and goes straight to work: roofs over heads, tools in hands, dignity where it belongs.

Whole Homes
The need is urgent

Too many who served still go without.

In Detroit, Veterans who gave everything are missing the basics — and we refuse to accept it.

A safe home

Energy-efficient, healthy, and truly theirs.

Real health care

The care they earned, finally within reach.

Clean water

A basic right too many Detroiters are still denied.

This year we're taking on energy burden, food injustice, and the water crisis — home by home, job by job. Your gift turns "someday" into today.

Our Founder

We Want Green, Too! is a grassroots, community-led nonprofit founded by Gloria J. Lowe — inspired by her work with Veterans at the Detroit Veterans Center.

What began as a promise to the Veterans she served has grown into a movement to make sure no Veteran is left behind — in housing, in health, and in the green economy taking root across Detroit.

Our Mission

We Want Green, Too! is on the ground making sure no Veteran is left behind — creating an inclusive, safe, sustainable, and energy-efficient community space to serve our Veterans and Detroit's East Side.

Our Purpose

To be a self-sufficient, independent, sovereign people — to live in the world we believe is possible by building a sustainable community that recognizes our humanity.

Team Work First

Our work is powered by collaboration — between community members, local leaders, and the Veterans we proudly bring into our workforce. We believe in second chances and shared purpose.

"Possibilities are just what they are — you're only limited by your own imagination."
— Gloria J. Lowe, Founder & Executive Director
