We bring HUD’s Healthy Homes Production Program to East Detroit and Highland Park — a comprehensive approach that protects children, seniors, and families from lead, mold, poor air quality, and structural hazards.
The Healthy Homes Production Program (HHP) is part of HUD’s national Healthy Homes Initiative, launched in 1999. Rather than tackling one hazard at a time, it takes a comprehensive, coordinated approach to the housing-related hazards behind many childhood diseases and injuries — building on HUD’s successful Lead Hazard Control programs.
We Want Green Too is proud to bring HHP to East Detroit (48214), protecting vulnerable groups — children, seniors, and people with disabilities — from lead exposure, mold, poor air quality, and structural risks. Through lead assessments, abatement, and hazard remediation, we work directly with low-income homeowners and renters to identify and eliminate these risks.

Unlike programs that fix one issue, HHP addresses the full range of environmental health and safety hazards inside the home.
